In this study it was aimed to reveal students', who studies at Erciyes Univesity Applied Sciences College Accounting and Finance Management Department, views on the accounting profession and their tendency to turn to the profession. A questionnaire consisting of two parts was prepared and applied to the students through face-to-face interview method. The first part of the questionary is about demographic characteristics. The second part is about students' perspectives on the accounting profession. It is concluded that students' perceptions over the accounting profession vary according to demographic characteristics. The second point is that students' tendency to work in this field is very high. Awareness of the students' thoughts and perspectives about their career choices will positively affect the quality of education provided by universities, which supply important information transfer to their students both in terms of academic and business life. Erciyes Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulu Muhasebe ve Finans Yönetimi Bölümü öğrencilerinin muhasebe mesleğine bakış açılarının ve mesleğe yönelme eğilimlerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. İki bölümden oluşan anket formu hazırlanmış ve öğrencilere yüzyüze görüşme yöntemi ile uygulanmıştır. Anket formunun birinci bölümü öğrencilerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemeye yönelik sorulardan oluşmaktadır. İkinci bölüm ise öğrencilerin muhasebe mesleğine bakış açılarını ölçmeyi hedeflemektedir. Muhasebe mesleğine bakış açılarının, öğrencilerin demografik özelliklerine göre istatistiki açıdan anlamlı farlılıklar gösterdiği ve öğrencilerin muhasebe alanında çalışma eğilimlerinin oldukça yüksek olduğu (%81,5) sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerine hem akademik hem iş hayatı açısından önemli bilgi aktarımı sağlayan üniversitelerin öğrencilerinin meslek tercihleri ile ilgili düşüncelerini ve algılarını bilmeleri verdikleri eğitimin kalitesini olumlu yönde etkileyecektir.
